Jelka Milic is a Slovene choreographer and videodance artist based in London.  Her work is strongly rooted in a process-led practice originating from a socially, culturally, and biologically inscribed place. She is interested in physical transformations and notions of intimacy. She uses dance, movement and the moving image as a means of establishing a relationship with the audience that is beyond meaning and interpretation striving towards more intuitive forms of perception.

Her work has been shown at The Place, Sadler’s Wells, Old Truman Brewery and at various international platforms including 4th Balkan Dance Platform in Athens, Puro Sangue Festival in Milano, Republic in Salzburg, WUK in Vienna. She has been shortlisted for Matther Bourne's New Adventures Choreographer Award, was a semi-finalist for The Place Prize and won best performance prize at Kansk International Festival. She has studied at University of Ljubljana, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Austria and at Middlesex University, London.
